About

Let’s be honest for a second. Security is a bigger concern than ever for all of us. Have you read through the police calls in your local paper recently? It’s frightening to say the least!

Worse, what we read about is just what’s been reported! There is a plethora of crime all around us that isn’t reported to the police for a variety of reasons.

If you turn on the evening news, there’s even more bad news! The amount of crime happening all around us is enough to make your blood run cold.

The bottom line is that we have to take steps to protect our families, our lives, and our valuables. We have too much at risk to stick our heads in the sand and hope for the best.

Don’t be naive. The police usually can’t stop a crime in process. The best they can do is react afterwards and try to catch the people responsible. They’re out there doing their best, but they’re only human. There’s only so much they can do.

It’s up to us to take personable responsibility for safety and security.

Unfortunately, most folks seem to think security is enormously complicated. Something that’s too difficult to tackle on their own. They know they need to do something, but are confused and uncertain about where to begin!

That’s why I started the Simple Security Blog. Here we learn the basics of good security in plain English. We talk about what works and more importantly, what doesn’t work. Together we’ll make our homes, families, and communities safer.
